What Is SC 189?

This visa is for invited workers, eligible New Zealand citizens and eligible Hong Kong or British National (Overseas) passport holders with skills required in case they want to live and work permanently anywhere in Australia.

This is, you can say, a permanent resident work visa. It gives permission to work and live in Australia. Certain foreign-national skilled workers holding occupations on Australia’s Skilled Occupations List, may get a Subclass 189 visa. For this visa the applicant has to complete a skills test and they should have an employer or family member or should be nominated by a state or territory government.
